Scotch guarding your general upholstery will offer a higher level of protection and is recommended.

Keep furniture out of direct sunlight

Place furniture away from heating and air-conditioning

Blot up spills immediately and professional upholstery cleaning is recommended

Chemicals, cleaning agents, oils, acidic food and thinners can cause severe damage  to your furniture

Dust timber areas of furniture with an absorbent, lint-free cloth to prevent the build-up of dirt and grime.

If you need to wash the wood, wash with a sudsy solution of mild soap and warm water. Soak a cloth in the soap solution, wring it out and rub small areas of the wood, overlapping areas as you go.

After washing the whole piece, go over it again with plain water, then dry it off with a clean cloth.
